This entrant in our technology makeover contest proves that you can’t always buy your way out of technology problems. In addition to good equipment, you need a reliable expert to install it, show you how it works, and keep it from breaking.

“Oh my word …where to begin. We have a web of cords running under our feet, over door frames, and we have no idea what they go to or if they are even working. Pretty much every time we have a problem with a computer, we just give up on it and go buy a new one.

We have tried so hard to bring ourselves into the age of technology and it seems like it works for a while and then it just stops. Some sort of virus takes over the owner’s system on a regular basis. We have a surveillance system that we’re supposed to be able to view from home — it has never worked, even after several companies have been in and charged us big bucks. We’re supposed to have wireless Internet — that’s a joke. Our Internet service ‘takes breaks’ during the day at any given time and we lose a lot of work every time the connection fails.

Our technology is hit and miss. Some days are good and most days are not. We need serious help!!!”
