Is Your Business Actually Protected — or Just Assuming It Is?

Knowing your data is backed up and knowing it is actually recoverable are two different things. Statesville and Iredell County businesses that work with a business IT solutions provider get the second guarantee, not just the first — tested restores, documented recovery timelines, and a process that holds up when it matters most.

Your Backups Have Never Been Tested
A backup that has never been restored is an assumption, not a guarantee. When ransomware or hardware failure hits, an incomplete or corrupted backup means recovery does not happen on the timeline your business can afford.
You Have Been Hit by Ransomware or Phishing
Ransomware encrypts your files and your locally connected backups simultaneously. Without an immutable copy held in an isolated location, the only path forward becomes rebuilding from scratch or paying the ransom demand.
Your Cyber Insurance Audit Requires Proof of Backups
Your insurer is asking for documented evidence of automated backups, tested restores, and off-site copies. Without a managed backup program, your application is declined or your premium adjusted before coverage takes effect.
You Do Not Know If You Are Really Protected
Your current provider configured a backup solution months or years ago, and nobody has verified it since. A backup that is silently failing produces no alert until the recovery attempt does.

The Real Cost of Unmanaged Backup & Recovery

Statesville businesses that treat Business Data Protection as a set-and-forget exercise discover the gap when a recovery attempt fails or a ransom demand lands. Our managed approach gives you verified, continuously monitored protection with documented evidence your auditor and insurer will accept.

Feature	Unmanaged Backup	CMIT Managed Backup & DR
Backup Testing	Never tested	Regularly tested restores
Ransomware Protection	Local backup encrypted too	Immutable off-site copy protected
Recovery Speed	Unknown; discovered under pressure	Defined Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
Compliance Evidence	No documentation	Audit-ready for HIPAA & cyber insurance
Monitoring	None; failures go unnoticed	24/7 monitoring with alerts

How We Protect, Test and Recover Your Statesville Business Data

Every Statesville and Iredell County business we work with starts from a different backup position. Some have never had a formal assessment; others have a solution running that nobody has tested or reviewed in years. Our three-step framework identifies your gaps, builds the right protection around your recovery requirements, and maintains it as your environment changes.

Step 1:

Assess & Plan

Every engagement begins with a free Backup & Recovery Assessment: backup configuration, data volumes, recovery requirements, and compliance obligations reviewed against your actual environment. What comes back is a business continuity plan scoped to your actual RTO and RPO, with recovery roles assigned and risk scenarios documented before a disaster forces those decisions.

Step 2:

Deploy & Protect

We deploy Real-time Data Backups using Datto BCDR for Domain and Server Data Protection across workstations and cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Immutable and encrypted copies are held in isolated locations from day one so a ransomware event cannot simultaneously destroy your production environment and your recovery point.

Step 3:

Test, Monitor & Maintain

We provide Downtime Risk Mitigation through 24/7 monitoring and regularly scheduled restore tests that confirm every backup produces a genuinely recoverable result. Your vCIO reviews your backup and DR posture at quarterly business reviews and flags any gap between your current protection and your documented recovery commitments.

Data Backup & Recovery Services Built for Statesville Area Businesses

Every CMIT data backup engagement covers your full recovery environment: automated backups, tested restores, documented continuity plans, and compliance-ready records under one flat, predictable monthly fee.

File Backup

Automated on-site and cloud backups for your servers, workstations, and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data, held in immutable encrypted copies from day one.

Data Recovery

When a hardware failure or ransomware event hits, a local engineer initiates recovery from a verified restore point within the agreed response window.

Business Continuity Consulting

Each engagement produces a documented business continuity plan with RTO and RPO targets defined and recovery roles assigned before a disruption forces those decisions.

Monthly Backup Testing

We test every backup on a documented schedule and record the results, so your team has verified proof of recoverability before a disaster requires it.

Why CMIT Solutions of Statesville Is the Right Backup & Recovery Partner

Tested Restores — Not Just Scheduled Backups

Most backup providers confirm the backup ran. We confirm it restores. Every backup we manage is tested on a documented schedule with recorded results, so you have verifiable proof of recoverability before you ever need it.

1-Hour Response SLA

When a recovery event occurs, a real engineer is on the issue within the hour, day, or night. For ransomware incidents or server failures, that response begins the recovery clock immediately rather than waiting for a ticket to be assigned.

Flat-Fee Predictable Pricing

Whether your infrastructure is on-premise, cloud, or hybrid, one flat, predictable monthly fee covers monitoring, testing, restore verification, and compliance documentation. Pricing is scoped to your data volume and does not change.

Dedicated Account Team & vCIO Guidance

People who already know your backup configuration handle every recovery request. One point of contact owns your account from onboarding through every recovery event — no re-explaining your environment to a new technician each time.

Compliance & Cyber Insurance Ready

Retention policies mapped to HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, and cyber insurance requirements are included in every engagement, backed by enterprise-grade encryption and immutable copies. When your auditor or insurer asks for evidence, it is already current and documented.

Data Backup & Recovery Built Around How Your Industry Actually Operates

The data your business holds is only as secure as the backup and recovery program protecting it, and the consequences of a gap depend entirely on which industry you operate in.

Healthcare & Medical Practices

HIPAA requires documented backup procedures, tested restores, and defined patient record retention periods before an OCR audit examines them. We manage HIPAA-compliant backup and disaster recovery for medical practices across Statesville and Iredell County with retention policies and restore documentation built in from day one.

Legal & Accounting

Client files and billing records carry professional retention obligations that extend beyond standard backup windows and into professional liability territory. We configure retention policies mapped to your data protection obligations so records are retained for the correct period and recoverable when a client dispute or regulatory review requires them.

Manufacturing, Engineering & Construction

A server failure on a production floor or job site stops output by the hour and cascades across project timelines before anyone has raised a support ticket. We deploy on-site and cloud backup with a defined RTO so your production systems and project data recover on a documented timeline, not whenever the next available engineer arrives.

Finance, Wealth Management & Insurance

SEC, FINRA, and state-level data retention requirements demand documented backup policies and verified evidence files that hold up under examination without last-minute assembly. We deliver compliance-mapped retention and tested restores so your backup program is audit-ready at any point in the year, not only before an examination is announced.

Professional Services, Education & Non-Profit

Lean teams need backup and recovery that works without dedicated internal management. We right-size every engagement to your actual data volumes and recovery requirements, so your team operates in a protected, monitored environment without carrying the overhead of managing it themselves.

Serving Statesville, Iredell County & the Surrounding Region

Our engineers are based in the Statesville area, which means on-site recovery work and DR plan reviews are backed by people who can be at your location within four hours. When a server failure or ransomware incident requires hands-on recovery, the engineer who arrives already knows your backup configuration and your documented RTO.

Frequently Asked Questions About Data Backup & Recovery in Statesville

What happens to our data if there’s a disaster — are we really backed up?

We run managed, automated backups held on-site and in the cloud, and we test every restore on a documented schedule. If ransomware, hardware failure, or accidental deletion hits, recovery starts from a verified copy — not a backup nobody has checked since it was configured.

How fast can you get us back up and running?

Every engagement starts with defined Recovery Time Objective targets, so that answer exists before a disaster forces it. With on-site and cloud copies in place and a documented DR plan, individual files restore in minutes and full systems recover on a pre-agreed timeline.

Isn’t Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace already backing up our email and files?

Built-in retention in both platforms is limited and is not a true backup. A deleted mailbox or ransomware event after the retention window can mean permanent loss. We add an independent backup layer so your cloud data is genuinely recoverable.

How much does backup and disaster recovery cost, and what’s included?

A flat, predictable monthly fee covers managed on-site and cloud backups, 24/7 monitoring, restore testing, and a documented disaster recovery plan. Pricing is scoped to your data volumes upfront, and a clear all-in quote is provided before any work begins.

How will you protect our backups from ransomware?

Encrypted Data Backups are stored in immutable, isolated copies an attacker cannot reach alongside your production environment. EDR, enforced MFA, and 24/7 monitoring reduce the chance of a breach — and when one occurs, a verified clean copy is ready to restore from.
