Somu Valliappan
Somu Valliappan, MBA, is the Managing Partner of CMIT Solutions of NOVA South. With more than 20 years of experience in IT leadership and delivery, he has overseen major enterprise operations and managed IT programs worth over $50 million for both federal and commercial clients. Somu’s background in IT Operations, cloud computing, software development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity helps organizations build secure and scalable technology systems. A Virginia Tech alumnus with an MBA in Management, he is dedicated to helping organizations streamline operations and enhance cybersecurity resilience. Let’s connect on LinkedIn.
Somu’s passion for technology inspired him to start his own business, bringing top-level IT services to small and medium-sized companies in the NOVA area. Somu combines personal experience and support of CMIT’s national network to help small and medium businesses protect, manage, and get the most from their technology, while building trusted relationships. Through his consulting work, he learned that technology only helps when it’s chosen, implemented and managed well. That’s why he built his company on strong customer service and expert solutions. He understands the challenges business owners face and is dedicated to helping local leaders navigate the digital world.
