Michael Worlund
Information Technology has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I got my start in high school, building circuit boards and tinkering with early computer hardware. That passion carried into the military, where I worked with cryptographic technologies and communications systems—giving me hands-on experience with the building blocks of modern IT.
My professional career began with routers, switches, and mainframe computers. I eventually took on a global role as a LAN architect, leading the redesign of Intel’s worldwide networks. That experience opened doors to Cisco, where I deepened my knowledge of advanced switching and routing. Over time, I expanded my skill set into application delivery, software-defined networking, cybersecurity, and AI—seeking to understand the full technology stack from top to bottom.
But throughout all those years, I kept coming back to a core passion: helping small and mid-sized businesses. I often supported SMBs on the side, seeing firsthand how overlooked they were by large technology providers. These companies deserve better—better service, better protection, and better tools to grow and thrive.
That’s what drew me to CMIT Solutions. CMIT is built specifically for the SMB market, offering a proven system and national reach while still delivering local, personalized support. It allows me to bring enterprise-grade expertise to businesses that need it most—helping them operate more efficiently, protect themselves from cyber threats, and gain the confidence to focus on what they do best.
