Securing Trust

I was walking through the Dayton Home and Garden Show when I turned a corner and spotted my friend and colleague Chris, a web designer I worked with. We greeted each other and he immediately told me about an exhibitor he’d just spoken with, a small business owner whose website had been hacked by ISIS the night before. It was a perfect example of how weak small business IT security can lead to embarrassment at the worst possible time, during a public trade show.

The owner was understandably frustrated. Hackers had breached the site multiple times, and he was ready to find a new hosting provider.

Chris mentioned my background in secure web hosting and offered to introduce us. We walked over to the exhibitor’s booth, and after a quick introduction, I said, “I understand your website had some trouble last night.”

“Yeah,” the owner sighed. “I’m so sick of this. Third time in a year.”

“If you’re looking for another web host, I’d be happy to talk with you about it,” I replied. “Security is a critical part of my service.”

He looked away in frustration. “Yeah, that’s what my current guy said too.”

It was a fair point, and one that stuck with me. I’m sure the current guy did tell him that, but had obviously failed to deliver. That’s exactly why CMIT Solutions was built the way it is.

Each CMIT Solutions branch is locally owned and operated, but backed by a nationwide network of experienced IT professionals, engineers, and partners. That means when you call your local office, you’re not just getting a small team, you’re getting the collective expertise of hundreds of specialists who make security, monitoring, and proactive maintenance their daily focus.

We don’t wait for problems to happen. We anticipate them. Whether it’s network management, endpoint protection, data backup, or disaster recovery, security is woven into everything we do.

Now is always the right time to discuss your business’s security concerns.
