Founded in 2006
Smythe Consulting, Inc. d.b.a. CMIT Solutions has been providing IT services to the Puget Sound region since 2006. The business was originally owned by John and Sue Smythe until their retirement in 2015, at which point Demetrius Alusi took over as President. With 25 years of IT experience and a background in Systems Architecture, Demetrius brings extensive knowledge and expertise to CMIT Everett. He joined the team in 2013 from another CMIT office in Georgia and now holds an ownership stake and management control of the company.

Demetrius Alusi
Demetrius Alusi is a veteran of the IT industry with over 24 years of experience. As the President and CEO of CMIT Solutions in Everett, he has worked with emerging technologies and is well-versed in the needs and constraints of customers at both the small business and enterprise level. Demetrius began his career in 1999 as a test engineer at Microsoft and worked his way up the ranks, gaining experience in consumer IT as a bench tech and as a store manager. He later started his own mobile computer and AV tech business, where he applied his expertise in early home automation to become the lead AV and network consultant/architect on a massive new construction mansion in Medina, Washington.
Demetrius continued to hone his skills while working as an IT support engineer for a nationwide wireless dealer, where he developed a digital marketing and pricing system that significantly reduced price fraud and theft while improving the customer experience. Bringing his wealth of experience to CMIT, Demetrius has worked at every level of the business, from field tech to owner. He is a rare breed of IT Generalist who believes in taking a holistic approach to IT, providing clients with robust, documented, and efficient solutions.
Demetrius has numerous industry certifications, including from Microsoft, CompTIA, and Watchguard, and is currently working on the Certified CMMC Assessor and Certified Information Systems Security Professional certifications. He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the WTIA, EASC, WHCA, and PNDC.
Outside of work, Demetrius has a passion for sailing, motorcycles, watchmaking, and cooking. He attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School and regularly donates his time to feed 150 less fortunate community members on Sundays.

Sue Smythe
Sue Smythe is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the information technology industry. She has held various management positions, including Director of Systems Development, Systems and Programming Manager, and MIS Director, and owned and operated a programmer staffing company, DP Solutions, providing contract programmers for local businesses. Sue has also worked as a Technical Writer and Manager of Technical Documentation and as a Project/Product Manager for several software companies.
Currently, Sue is the Owner and CFO of CMIT Solutions in Everett, providing managed IT services to local businesses in North Puget Sound with a specialization in cybersecurity and HIPAA & NIST compliance. Her expertise in these areas has earned her numerous awards and recognitions, including Managed Services Specialist, Small Business Specialist, People’s Choice Award, and President’s Award.
Sue holds a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Washington and is a member of the Washington Technology Industry Association. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sue is a proud mother of three children and four grandchildren. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her two Shetland Sheepdogs. Sue is also actively involved in charity board work.
