Pre-Screening checklist for at home computers
Q: I want my employees to use their home computers to work from home. Is it safe?
A: Home machines and home networks are not fortified with the security defenses and protection that your office has. Ask these questions:
• What endpoint security do you have? AV, Anti-Spyware, malware
• Internet Gateway have you called your internet provider and verified that the equipment they provided you has all updates? If you purchased your own, when was the last time you verified that it is running the latest firmware?
• Updates & patches: Are you running a supported operating system and have you verified that the operating system, adobe, Java, updates are current?
