Steven Conyers

Steven Conyers loves educating business owners and executives about Cybersecurity threats and the appropriate, proportional actions they can take to help prevent the damage they cause to their business. He leads an experienced staff of dedicated IT and security specialists focused on delivering top-notch secure technology solutions to small and medium-sized businesses and organizations

With over 20 years of experience working with, developing, and applying technology to business problems, Steven has seen just about every technology issue faced by businesses and non-profits. He has seen developments in data security and compliance while working for large banks and while working with businesses and non-profits with CMIT.

Steven’s passion for technology began at a young age when he first learned computer programing in high school. His enthusiasm for staying up to date with practical, tested business technology allows him to provide innovative solutions to clients’ IT challenges. Under Steven’s leadership, CMIT Brooklyn was recognized with the CMIT Solutions Franchise of the Month and several annual Managed Services awards for exceptional dedication to client satisfaction and innovative problem-solving.

When Steven isn’t busy helping clients optimize their IT infrastructure, he enjoys biking, playing the guitar, singing, and musical collaborations with his siblings. Steven’s commitment to providing best-in-class IT solutions has made him an asset and a trusted partner to our clients.

Steven Cox

Steven Cox is a strategic CTO whose passion is providing IT solutions to clients by helping them optimize their IT infrastructure through security, compliance, and technology.

Steven has over 20 years’ experience as an IT solutions developer in both enterprise corporate ventures as well as small to medium based businesses. He was IT director for Cendant corporation at their flagship office on 57^th street in NYC, A fortune one hundred company supporting thousands of end points, servers, and employees. After Cendant Steven began supporting multiple CMIT franchises in NY and NJ and helping them strategically grow and provide right sized solutions to the small and medium sized business community. In 2013 Steven became partial owner of CMIT solutions of Brooklyn North and he doubled that business in less than 2 years.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the College of Old Westbury. He also holds the following certifications:

3. Microsoft Certified Technology specialist (MCTS)
4. Cisco CCNA

Christopher Cox

After graduating with a degree in computer science from Hofstra University, Christopher Cox started his career as a coder for Citibank. While he enjoyed the corporate environment, he quickly realized that the coding position wasn’t for him. He decided to strike out on his own and started his own IT company, Tiger Productions, by handing out business cards while working part-time at Staples.

Through hard work and determination, Christopher managed to acquire enough clients to quit his job at Staples and work full-time for Tiger Productions. His company was hired by a brokerage firm to roll out NASDAQ’s new Direct Access Trading System.  With the knowledge gained through this experience, the company began to specialize in providing IT support to day trading firms, and Christopher became an expert in the field. His experience with the finance industry eventually led him to obtain his trading and supervisory licenses, and was hired as the CIO and Chief Compliance Officer for F1 Trading, a brokerage firm specializing in day trading and direct access on-line trading with branches in NY, FL, and CA.

Despite his success in finance, Christopher never forgot his roots in IT. After running his own brokerage firm, Solaris Securities, for over 10 years, he decided to refocus on providing IT services to small and medium-sized businesses. He teamed up with his brother Steven Cox and together they founded a new IT company dedicated to helping businesses with their networking, cybersecurity, and compliance needs and in 2013 they partnered with Steve Conyers in CMIT of Brooklyn.

With over 20 years of knowledge, expertise and experience in IT and finance behind him, Christopher Cox is dedicated to providing quality IT services to businesses to help them not merely succeed but thrive.
