2 Ways to Strengthen Your Cyber Security Defenses

Did you see the news with the current world events that we’re expecting a large uptick in cyber-attacks, and these cyber-attacks are going to be against all sectors of the economy, including small businesses? I’m Steve Conyers with CMIT Solutions where we help businesses and nonprofits with cyber security and IT services. So is there anything that you can do as a small business owner? And the answer is yes. And there’s a couple of things you should do, you should number one, conduct an assessment of your cyber security profile. So you know where your risks lie. And then once you have that assessment you should prioritize your risks and remediate or fix the ones that are going to cause you the most harm. And I caution you there’s going to be, and I’ve already seen it, there’s a lot of advertising from various different products that claim they are cyber security. They’re preying on your fear of a cyber-attack by telling you that, oh, we handle cyber security.

And in fact these products do handle some aspect of cyber security, but it just might not be the one that you’re at most risk for. So have an assessment and prioritize your risks. And I’m here to let you know that’s what we do at CMIT every day of the week, we just recently helped a law firm, a media firm, medical practices and manufacturers with government contracts. So if this is something that you would like help with, please reach out to me directly. My information is at the end of the video on the screen. And also if you’re looking for more information, I have white papers and videos and all that information at the end as well. Again, I’m Steve Conyers with CMIT Solutions, and I’m hoping you have a safe and secure day.
