Cheryl Nelan
Cheryl Nelan is the Owner and President of CMIT Solutions in Rochester. In early 2011, she was excited to bring this business to Rochester, NY, to help businesses leverage their technology to grow their business. CMIT is different from most computer service providers in the area. Cheryl brings business expertise with the strength of a top-notch technical team.
Chief Security Officer
Steve Tylock
Steve joined CMIT in 2012 with over 20 years of technology consulting under his belt and has helped lead the business and the technical team in tremendous growth as Service Delivery Manager. A major portion of his focus has always been on IT security. As we expanded in 2023, he took on the role of Chief Security Officer. As CSO, Steve leads our organization to meet compliance requirements by protecting our data (as well as our clients’ data). He shares his expertise with our clients, advising them of best practices and compliance requirements within specific industries (HIPAA, FINRA, etc.). And as most of our clients are based in the Rochester NY area, he works with them to ensure they meet NY SHIELD guidelines as well.

Jeff Berg
After running Help Desk Services for a large enterprise, Jeff joined the CMIT team to bring his expertise to support our SMB clients. His passion in customer service drives his focus to deliver the level of support our clients expect and deserve. His excellent communication skills likely come from his love of literature (not to mention his degree in English). Today, he oversees our entire technical team and drives excellence across the organization.
