CLIENT: Washington Heights CORNER Project
INDUSTRY: Non-Profit
OBJECTIVE: To upgrade the outdated information technology infrastructure for Washington Heights CORNER
Project (WHCP) with affordable IT solutions and ongoing support.
SOLUTION: Long overdue for an updated computer system, including new hardware and software,
as well as a modernized phone system, Washington Heights CORNER Project met CMIT
Solutions at a critical juncture for the organization. At that first meeting between the two, the
president of CMIT Solutions assessed the organization’s needs in a consultation that Joann
Gomez, WHCP’s administrative assistant, coordinated. Both sides agreed, it was clear the
organization was ready to invest in new technology.
CMIT’s thorough assessment included an analysis of the organization’s current technology
equipment, checking the effectiveness of the existing technology equipment before moving
ahead with the project. From there, CMIT recommended and installed updated computer
hardware, including initiating the organization’s migration to Office 365. Next, he brought
in a team of electricians to modernize the electrical, data and voice lines, as well as install
an updated phone system. Additionally, CMIT and its team of technicians arranged for the
organization to receive the CMIT Solutions Business Disaster Recovery Solution to protect
against data loss.
RESULTS: The results have dramatically increased productivity for the nonprofit organization, which has
allowed WHCP to focus on its mission to improve the health and quality of life for people who
use drugs.
commitment to our organization.”
BOTTOM LINE: This scenario in which clients are consistently able to work at maximum productivity
rather than waste time with technology challenges, is a common result of the high
quality work of CMIT Solutions. CMIT manages and monitors technology systems
so that clients, such as the nonprofit organization WHCP, can focus on what they
do best – in this case serving a segment of the community that needs it most.
