CMIT Solutions of St. Louis Helps Nonprofit Streamline IT Operations

As CMIT Solutions continues to expand across the U.S. and Canada with more than 150 offices, the footprint the brand makes on the communities it serves grows as well. With so many offices in different regions, CMIT’s small- and medium-size business clientele is increasingly diverse. Many of these businesses thrive because of the fast, efficient, and preventative IT solutions that CMIT provides — even if they had no trustworthy technology infrastructure in the past.

The Assistance League of St. Louis (ALSL) is a nonprofit all-volunteer service organization whose members identify, develop, implement and fund ongoing philanthropic programs to serve the specific needs of children and adults in the St. Louis community.

ALSL was looking for a strategic technology advisor that could support the group in achieving its mission to make a difference for families in the community. Several members of the group were introduced at a local business expo to Nick LaRosa of CMIT Solutions of St. Louis Southwest. Together, the members partnered with Nick to upgrade and reconfigure their technology systems. To start, CMIT Solutions implemented CMIT’s proactive computer and server monitoring solution, Marathon Performance Plus on all workstations, laptops, an iMac computer, and a PC that was acting as ALSL’s file server. Nick and his team also installed and configured Guardian Secure, CMIT’s backup and disaster recovery service, on two PCs.

In the months following, CMIT upgraded ALSL’s wireless network and conducted a complete refresh of several PCs, network switches, firewalls, and battery backups. For Fantastic Finds, the organization’s resale store and donation center, CMIT Solutions worked closely with the organization on a store expansion project and technology refresh. In addition, to show their ongoing support for the organization and its six primary programs, CMIT Solutions began giving back 10 percent of its managed services revenue to ALSL each year.

“Partnering with CMIT Solutions of St. Louis Southwest could not have happened at a better time,” said Kayla Kremer, vice president of IT for the Assistance League of St. Louis. “We needed a complete overhaul of our IT systems, which only a company like CMIT Solutions could deliver. As the head of technology at ALSL, I have complete trust in their team. If there are any issues, they resolve them right away. We can now fully focus on carrying out our mission in the community without worrying about security issues or technological hiccups.”

The services and support provided by CMIT Solutions of St. Louis Southwest have enhanced ALSL’s ability to meet the needs of children and families in the community. In addition to upgrading the organization’s technology systems, CMIT Solutions improved ALSL’s overall network stability, providing a safer, more secure environment for the group’s talented team of volunteers.

ALSL is grateful to have a strategic technology partner, a dedicated help desk, a network that is monitored around the clock, and a regular report of all the work that is completed throughout the month. CMIT Solutions of St. Louis Southwest provides cost-effective, enterprise-level IT services for local nonprofits as well as small and medium-sized businesses, serving as the strategic technology advisor companies and organizations need to meet their goals.

As CMIT Solutions continues to pave the way for affordable IT solutions for North America’s small and medium-size businesses, client relations and top-notch technology innovations remain at the center of the brand’s philosophy.
