CMIT Solutions helps Speech and Language Pathology Center Expand

Making a Difference for Individuals with Communication Disorders

The Speech and Language Center in San Antonio’s Stone Oak community has
been serving children and adults with communication disorders for nearly two
decades. Office Manager Joanne Almeter has been managing the practice’s
technology systems since the early phases of opening the center. In December
of 2014, Joanne and Barbara Samfield, the owner and director of the practice,
began searching for a strategic technology advisor that could support the
growing organization. In addition to hiring more staff that now exceeds 30
employees, the center was in the process of expanding its footprint to include
a secondary space, which would be used for the center’s treatment programs.
Following a thorough vetting process, CMIT Solutions of San Antonio Northeast
was brought on-board to manage and monitor the center’s technology
infrastructure. Within months, CMIT had assisted with purchasing and installing
new software and hardware for the new annex room, as well as helping the
practice recover from a major server crash. Now, thanks to CMIT Solutions of
San Antonio Northeast, the team has full access to scalable, enterprise-level
technology systems and support at a price point that they can afford
