Hacking For Good

Jake Izumi, an IT Specialist for CMIT Solutions, was recently featured in an article form Star Tribune about how his career got started. Jake describes himself at 10 years old as a hacker, but not the kind that steals information – he was on the good side. His interest in technology and security gave him the hands on experience he needed to become an expert in his field.

Today, Jake is the Director of Technical Operations at CMIT Solutions of South Minneapolis, a premiere provider for IT services and solutions for small businesses with big security needs. Izumi speaks on the importance of IT security, especially for a small business that may not realize the extent of its vulnerability.

Jake Izumi’s “hacker” background brings an amazing insight to what it really means to have IT security. Like many of our IT specialists, he understands what it takes to protect the important work small businesses do. Jake’s advice to small businesses is, “Anyone can restore a computer. Managing and monitoring is a very hard thing to do. We pride ourselves on that.”
